5. Death Adder

The adder is known for being the snake that Cleopatra was said to have killed herself with. Death adders are found in Australia, New Guinea, and the islands near it. They look similar to vipers, except for the size that would be evident among the real vipers. Only 40-100 milligrams of their venom are enough to paralyze but will result in death within 6 hours due to breathing problems.
