22. Saving a Pregnant Dog From Being Buried Alive
Poor Belka was trapped underneath the rubble caused by negligent workers repairing a pavement. Apparently, the workers didn’t mind the poor dog and went on sealing the crater and trapping Belka underground. The house residents, Aleksandra and husband Vadim then began hearing barking from beneath their porch. They sought help from the local housing authorities but their request to dig the ground was refused. This led Vadim to dismantle the tiles, dig the ground and rescued the pregnant dog by himself. Unfortunately, Belka lost her two puppies after days without food and water. The good news is that Belka was saved and has been passed to an animal shelter for recovery.
