5 Crazy Things You Didn’t Know About the Honey Badger

3. Honey Badgers are Friends with Honey Trackers

Honey Badger Eating Honey

Okay, maybe they are not friends but the Honey Tracker, a type of bird, will guide the Honey Badger to a tasty beehive. The bird will then wait for the Honey Badger to do its thing and destroy the beehive and chase away all the bees.

Now this intelligent bird will swoop in and share the tasty honey and left over larva, once the fierce predator has had its fill. This is a win-win situation as the Honey Badger probably wouldn’t have found the beehive without the guidance from the Honey Tracker and there is no way the bird would have been able to take the hive down.

You have to love it when different species work together.
