Photo from Wikicommons<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nSpringer Spaniel Fast Fact – <\/strong>The Springer Spaniel is very closely related to the English Cocker Spaniel.\u00a0 In fact, about a century ago these two dogs could be found in the same litter.\u00a0 As a result, the Springer Spaniel picked up a rare condition that is found in Cocker Spaniels.\u00a0 It is called Rage Syndrome and will cause your loving pet to suddenly attack.\u00a0 They will usually have a glazed look in their eyes and be unaware of their surroundings.\u00a0 This state can last anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes.\u00a0 After that they return to their normal, loving self.\u00a0 Interestingly enough, this extremely rare syndrome has only been documented in the show breeds.\u00a0 The field breeds of Springer Spaniel don’t appear to have this condition.<\/p>\nThanks for reading a longer Wild Fact on this Friday.\u00a0 Can you tell I was excited about writing this post on my very first pet?\u00a0 I hope all of you have a great weekend.\u00a0 See you on Monday!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
