11. The Hen And The Puppies
For this story, we could probably owe it all to the hen’s foot injury, as it saved her from getting killed and cooked. Mable the hen was then moved inside the home of her owner, where she was able to find new friends, in the form of two puppies! As if it couldn’t get any more adorable, the hen liked to sit on the puppies and keep them warm while their mother was out playing in the yard.
