5. Spiny Orb Weaver Spider

Commonly called spiny backed orb weavers, this species of spiders are called such because of the visible spines on their abdomen. They can be as big as 30 millimeters in diameter, measured from one spike to another. Despite having similarities in appearance with a crab spider, they are very much different and they are generally harmless to us humans.
