2. The Famous Bum Raise
Why is it that when you are petting your cat, they tend to put their tail in the air and raise their bum at you?
While it may look a little odd, this is another way that your cat is showing you their appreciation. Like most mammals, cats associated each other by scent, so when your cat raises their bum at you, they are basically giving you the go ahead to confirm that it is them.
Isn’t that nice that your cat is letting you smell their bum? It is completely up to you if you want to take them up on their offer – I won’t judge!
