5. Northern Stargazer

You can imagine that Poseidon has some big beef with some other undersea creature that he decides to create this scary looking beast down below. The name is not doing anything to help make it any prettier either, because really, who thought of naming this one the northern stargazer?! Honestly?. This hideous character can be found on the eastern shores between North Carolina and New York in the US, and in the water, they are found in the depths of 36 meters. It’s eyes and mouth are on the top of its head, because of the way it feeds – they bury themselves in the mud for a bit, and when their prey approaches, BAM! As if they weren’t scary enough, they have organs above their eyes that can produce an electric shock.
