I mentioned this incredible website in the comment section the other day but I wanted to bring a bit more focus to such an interesting idea so Real Monstrosities gets it very own Wild Website Post. Real Monstrosities is truly a “Journey amongst the weird, the wonderful and the downright ugly”. The author of the website is known as Comment1 and has had a passion for the “creepy-crawlies” of the world for as long as he can remember. He spent a lot of time on the Caribbean Island of Trinidad where he was exposed to numerous bizarre animals. As Comment1 has matured he is attempting to relive those passionate times observing weird animals doing truly amazing things. This is great news for all of us since we have an opportunity to learn about some of earth’s most interesting animals in a fun and “safe” way.
Real Monstrosities provides an in-depth look at some of the worlds most unique animals such as Giant Salamanders, Frilled Sharks, and one of my favourite posts “Squirters of the Animal Kingdom”. Not only do you get a wealth of information but it is written in such way that is entertaining so you will want to keep reading. Honestly, it is like that amazing novel that you just can’t put down. The only downside of this website is you have to wait until Sunday to get a new animal. I don’t think I was able to get anything done this week since I was waiting in anticipation of today’s animal. For the record, it was worth the wait.
As usual, I love to provide my readers with websites that will further educate them on the animals and behaviours of nature. You know that I don’t do paid advertisements and I only pass on the best websites which I have reviewed for you. So what are you waiting for? Go and check out today’s animal on Real Monstrosities. I promise that you will be checking this blog every Sunday to get your fix on the strangest animals our planet has to offer.
